Here are some of the things we are saving for
We are always innovating which involves new projects and equipment

Rescue 1 Truck Replacement
$600,000+
Can you believe our Current Rescue 1 is over 15 years old. A lot has changed since then and we are looking to upgrade to a safer more reliable truck based on the CFA Rescue Truck design
Floor Cleaner
$1500
The nature of our work often means training facilities can get messy fast, and a clean workarea is an important safety consideration. This floor cleaner will help us sweep up that mess in a jiffy, and keep our shed in top condition.
PPE
$2400 per person
Our number one goal is to get home safely to our families. Rescue certified personal protective equipment is vital to member safety.
Battery Rescue Tools
$90,000
We have started the move to Battery tools, but we aren't quite done yet. We are still short a full set for our combined truck 'Rescue 3' which is still operating on Hydraulic equipment with long cumbersome hoses.
Defibrillator
2x 1700
We currently have defibrillators in both of our 4WD but none in our trucks. These two would fill that gap.
Handheld Lights
6x $230
These Makita Lights make all the difference in night searches and storm jobs. Utilising our current batteries is a bonus!
Worklights
8x $1030
These work lights are some of the hardest working tools in our fleet. They are used in all sorts of jobs, from road crashes to storms. They light up our world.
Portable Fan
$180
This is a new concept to our rescue toolkit. Keeping casualties cool during rescues, to ensure a high level of care and comfort.
Rescue Platform
$6000
This Rescue Platform allows us to access taller SUV's, Trucks, Buses and Trains in the event of an accident.
New Tool Set
$6000
Our tools have seen some action and they are begging to be retired with our truck next year. A new set helps make sure they continue to work first time every time.
Formal Hats
30x $300
Our Formal Uniforms are some of the best in the business, however we haven't topped it off yet.
Thermal Imaging Camera
$6000
This Thermal Camera will give us another tool in our searching arsenal allowing our searches going into the night to find those in need.
Youth Rescue Manikin
$1200
This youth manikin will allow us to increase our realism in training, adjusting our response to different sized casualties.
Interactive Whiteboard
$5000
During a large event such as a Storm or Flood alot of resouces are required very quickly in a vast area. This interactive whiteboard will help with communications during large events.
Rescue Airbag Air Tanks
$4000
We have airbags capable of lifting 60 Tonne that we use in industrial and road accidents. However some of these places are hard to get a truck into. We are looking at getting 4 portable air tanks to allow us to inflate the airbags where they are needed.
Cribbing and Chocks
$1500
Electric Vehicles's present new challenges to us, due to incredible torque and silent operation. We are looking at getting wheel chocks suited for this job as well as additional cribbing for industrial and road rescue.
In events such as flood and fire our uniforms can get dirty very quickly and it is not always safe to wash these at home.
The Rotary Club of Shepparton recently came to our rescue and have funded both a washing machine and dryer for our HQ so we can decontaminate hygienically after large events.
A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Shepparton!
The half spin board was purchased for our 2nd Truck 'Rescue 3' to help assist patients out of vehicles after severe accidents. Auto Shows Central Victoria and it's participants has been helping us out well over a year now in raising funds for equipment to help us help the Goulburn Valley
We appreciate the following organisations who support us to provide search and rescue services to the Goulburn Valley and beyond.
