Shepparton Search and Rescue conduct multiple school visits per year around the Greater Shepparton Region. To get the most out of the visit it is expected that road safety has been introduced into the curriculum and taught prior to our visit to maximize the impact for the students and allow the best use of our volunteer's time, who forgo their regular jobs to attend school visits. Shepparton Serach and Rescue works closly with the TAC to promote road safety for all victorians. The TAC’s Safe Migration Project is designed to give parents and carers practical tips to help their children travel safely to and from primary school.

We encourage all schools to adopt a comprehensive Road Safety Policy that embeds safe practices across every aspect of school life. To support this, Road Safety Education Victoria has developed a practical template to help schools create and implement their policy.
